About Kyeson Blake Utley

I'm a security engineer based in Texas, and I've spent my career on both sides of digital theft: first tracing it, now designing systems to prevent it.

Kyeson Blake Utley, security engineer and founder of GhostKey Development

My route into security ran through blockchain forensics. At SpookyGood, the practice I founded in 2020, I followed stolen funds across chains for people who had lost savings to scams. Almost none of those losses involved broken cryptography. They came from leaked seed phrases, over-funded hot wallets and approvals nobody understood.

That pattern is why I now build and attack systems for a living at GhostKey Development. I care about the unglamorous parts of security that decide whether a system survives: key custody, the boundaries between components, and what happens to encrypted data once quantum computers can read it.
